A website of the extended family of Lau Ang of Ponggol Road, Singapore.

This site is dedicated to building a "virtual village" for the descendents and extended family of Lau Ang, who used to stay in that famous "Ang Village" in Ponggol, during the 1940s to 1980s. We hope to
- bring back fond memories of our past,
  • - build family bonds and community in the present, and
  • - pass on the faith and love that we share to our future....
.... the new Ang Village, our virtual village.

Ang Village Ponggol : 1940 to 1980
Ang Village Virtual : 2007 to

Concept Plan for virtual Ang Village

Here are some initial ideas:
  1. Sketch of the "original" Ang Village at Ponggol. All the houses, the main features... fond memories
  2. Main page is this page which is common for all, then there are sub-sites (one for each extended family)
  3. A team will be formed, members from each extended family, who will also manage their sub-sites.
  4. Main page can have common family news (who just gave birth, an addition to the family!), calendar, major anniversaries, upcoming events, photo sharing ....
  5. Sub-sites can have their own extended family news, calendar, birthdays, anniversaries, events, photo sharing ...
  6. Access will be controlled and limited to within our Ang family and relatives.
Other features suggested:
1. Family Tree (Main page Lau Ang and First generation, next level 2nd Generation, third level....)
2. Sharing of pictures old and new, especially Angs Day photos.
3. There was a short write-up in Nativity Church Coffee-Table book (we'll put that in)
